We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and devices, such as industrial machinery, transportation systems, and robotics equipment. Their role involves identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes, conducting experiments to improve product designs, and utilizing CAD technology to create detailed designs. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as experiences in these field.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing mechanical systems and components
- Concept Development: Engineers define the problem, set objectives, and brainstorm solutions.
- CAD Modeling: Using software like AutoCAD, Inventor, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or Creo to create detailed designs.
- Conducting experiments and analyzing data to improve designs
- Prototyping & Testing: Building physical or digital prototypes to evaluate performance.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Supervising CAD project drawings and collaborating with teams
- Reviewing CAD Drawings: Ensuring accuracy, compliance with specifications, and adherence to design principles.
- Managing Design Revisions: Overseeing updates and modifications to CAD models while maintaining version control.
- Collaborating with Engineers & Designers: Working closely with mechanical engineers, process engineers, and quality engineers to refine designs.
- Preparing documentation and reports on mechanical/technical analysis
- Key activities: structuring data, interpreting results, and presenting information in a clear and professional manner.
- Production engineering support based on material knowledge
- Material Selection: Choosing appropriate materials based on strength, durability, and cost.
- Manufacturing Considerations: Ensuring designs are feasible for production and assembly.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in mechanical design and/or equipment and machinery automation. However, fresh graduates with strong academic background and excellent working attitude are also welcome.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Fusion 360, Creo, etc.).
- Strong understanding of mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Technical writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ERP systems, and related tools.
- Language: Proficiency in English (additional language skills (Chinese and Japanese) are a plus).
- Tools: Preferable if any of the following tools can be used or known;
- CAD tools (AutoCAD/Fusion360/Creo etc.), Automation programming (Matlab Simulink, UiPath, etc.), Data Analysis (Minitab/ Python etc.)
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, on-site position.
- Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines and production schedules.
