We are seeking a proactive, analytical Lean Engineer to join our team. This role leads the company’s transition to a lean production environment, serving as the central resource for lean initiatives and supporting daily operations and process improvements. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed Lean principles, reduce waste, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and standardize work procedures, line balancing, and visual controls; document processes and track performance metrics to ensure productivity and sustainability.
- Analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement Lean solutions to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Optimize machining processes, workflow, and automation to ensure product quality, efficiency, and repeatability.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities, justify changes with ROI analysis, and track resulting savings.
- Facilitate Lean initiatives, including Kaizen events, 5S workshops, and workplace layout improvements.
- Deliver Lean training and support ongoing employee development.
- Apply quality control methods such as SPC, FMEA, and TQM to support process changes.
- Plan, execute, and manage continuous improvement projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure process consistency and compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Leverage operational data and systems to support ongoing improvement. Conduct simulations and modeling to test process improvements before implementation
- Monitor progress and ensure plant-wide alignment with Lean initiatives.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a Lean or Continuous Improvement role.
- Skills:
- Lean principles, Manufacturing principles and processes, Production processes, Cost improvements.
- Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, TQM, …
- Strong technical background, product and management skills, able to work with cross-functional teams and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Project/Time management Skill
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, Critical & logical thinking
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, simulation tools, Statistics & Analysis.
- Language: Proficiency in English (additional Japanese or Chinese skills are a plus).
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, on-site position.
- Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines and production schedules.
