We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Failure Analysis – Corrective Actions (FACA) Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for investigating product failures, identifying root causes, driving effective corrective and preventive actions. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and techniques, and a passion for solving complex problems in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor production yield performance.
- Perform trouble shooting for defective products at automation testing and manual inspection processes, using appropriate diagnostic tools and methodologies.
- Analyze production and test data to identify trends, recurring issues, and potential risk areas.
- Use statistical tools (e.g., pareto analysis, control charts, regression analysis) to support failure investigations and drive data-based decision making.
- Develop and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate root causes and improve overall product reliability.
- Prepare detailed failure analysis reports and communicate findings and solutions clearly to internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Propose, collaborate, lead improvement initiatives in term of quality perspective.
- Coordinate with relevant departments and suppliers to ensure rapid resolution of issues and continuous process improvement.
- Support customer audits, quality reviews, and improvement initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related background.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with a focus on quality management, quality improvement.
- Skills:
- Effective communication and collaboration skill across multiple technical teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving, analytical and trouble shooting skills with a solid understanding of root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and related tools.
- Experience with data analysis tools (JMP, Minitab, etc.)
- Strong presentation skills.
- Demonstrate accuracy, clarity, consistency and thoroughness of work.
- Language: Proficiency in English (additional Japanese or Chinese skills are a plus).
