Advance Manufacturing Engineer (AME)

We are looking for Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) specializes in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes using cutting-edge technology such as automation, 3D printing, and simulation. Their role involves improving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring high-quality production. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as experiences in these field.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process Development and Optimization:
  2. Leading the process development activities (flowchart, process design reviews, process optimization, process design, validation of new and existing products)
  3. Implementing advanced manufacturing techniques such Process Flow Simulation, Bottle Neck Analysis, deploying Operation Research to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
  4. Employing lean manufacturing principles to optimize effectiveness of the manufacturing operations to ensure competitive pricing.
  5. Improving the production efficiency through designing facility layout and deploying advanced techniques for layout optimization.

  6. Introduction of New Production Equipment

  7. Planning and preparing the facilities/utilities for new equipment installation.

  8. Preparing the Equipment Buy-Off report for introducing new equipment.

  9. Implementation of new production equipment and operator training to meet standards and final sign-off requirements.

  10. Developing concepts that include specification of equipment and make recommendations for the technical selection of purchased equipment.

  11. Participating in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of new equipment.

  12. Ensuring optimal equipment performance by managing preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshooting complex issues.

  13. Management of Necessary Product Information

  14. Preparing and maintaining the PFMEA for new processes and product line.

  15. Cooperating with process engineers and maintenance engineers to build maintenance check list and maintenance SOPs.

  16. Ensuring all other necessary product information such as Control Plan, Process Flow Charts, Instruction Sheets are up to date and readily available.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply chain/Industrial management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with a focus on one or some of mechanical or industrial engineering. However, fresh graduates with strong academic background and excellent working attitude are also welcome.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Operation Research and its applications in optimization field.
    • Proficient in simulation software (FlexSim, Tecnomatix Plan Simulation, Areana).
    • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Ability to analyze and improve manufacturing efficiency.
    • Expertise in CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Fusion 360, Creo).
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
    • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ERP systems, and related tools.
    • Language: Proficiency in English (additional language skills (Chinese and Japanese) are a plus).
    • Tools: Preferable if any of the following tools can be used or known;
    • FlexSim, Tecnomatix Plan Simulation, Areana, AutoCAD, Inventor, Fusion 360, Creo, Matlab/Minitab/Python

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, on-site position.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines and production schedules.
